Ohi:yo´

The Iroquois called it Ohi:yó meaning “Good River.” The French called it “La Belle Riviere.” The Ohio River has become something considerably less and much more. This project grew out of a journey of driving, walking and boating over 3200 miles to cover the 951 mile length of the river from all angles. Read more of my preliminary statement here. River map here. Read and/or purchase my edited photobook here. All photographs taken within 1/2 mile of the river.
